About Geothermal energy:
Geothermal resources provide an enormous potential for essentially emission free energy.The Norwegian Center for Geothermal Energy research (CGER) was established February 2, 2009 with partners from universities, colleges, research institutes, and industry.
The center aims plan and coordinate research and development within geothermal energy in Norway. Building on strong national competence, amongst others related to the petroleum industry, the center will facilitate the development of knowledge and technology to form a basis for commercial exploitation of geothermal energy worldwide.
