Draft overview of the national ground source heat extraction in 2023 to the European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) is shared here. More examples will be added during May. In all, 4238 wells with a total length of 1032 km was drilled providing an estimated capacity of 56 MW, with a total yearly thermal energy addition of 186 GWh to be served the national energy system each year. Since the 1980s a total of nearly 700 MW of heat power available at demand equating to around 2.2 TWh heat has been. This thermal energy frees out the same amounts of electrical energy, available for other purposes.

Read the report and provide your comments before final submission!

A draft version of the program plan has been created. All partners are warmly welcome to revise  and provide comments within 15th of May. A General Assembly will be held on Teams with all partners in the second half of June. Date to be announced.

The purpose is to create value for the partners - but how may that be done?
